Right! There is no First Class on an entire A350. Only other aircraft who have First Class. They will have ClubWorld, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class, as well.

My current favourite routing to Madrid is Sept 21-22, out on the 0620, then picking up the LATAM 787 to Frankfurt with a B2B return (£155 via LATAM, don't forget topcashback, you can book b2b using the multi city tool but not as a return), and returning the next day on the 1055. There was some redemption availability on those dates, and I'll do this one regardless as I wanted to do the LATAM run anyway.

I also have August 24th B2B on the 777 timings, August 31st 0620 one way only currently, and Sept 7th 0620/1055 B2B. Certainly won't be keeping all of them. If all goes well I'll just do the 21st/22nd.

First A350 flights have also been revealed:
  • familiarisation flights to Madrid across August and September (tipped for BA460/461)
  • from October 1, daily to Toronto (BA92/93)
  • from October 8, daily to Dubai
I’m told that Toronto will be bookable as of later today

Thanks, but I don't have confidence that you are answering my question. Apologies if I am wrong, but without a source it appears that you are just trying to explain what is in the first post - and I fully understand what it is trying to state; I am questioning its accuracy.

I have heard "no A350s currently on order with have First" and "none of the initial A350s will have First." Can you point to me to where they have stated that NO BA A350s will have a First please?

November 2018, https://www.ausbt.com.au/british-air...a350-1000-jets
A spokesperson for British Airways has since confirmed this to Australian Business Traveller, saying "At the moment all 18 A350s we have on order will be three class."
Also, from my pre-briefing with BA last Friday (not in my linked article, but this is from the interview transcript), and referencing the above:
"We still stand by that statement. The A350 won't have first class but you know we've got the 787-10's, which will have first class on them as well. So on this 350 we didn't go first class ... we've gone for a more exclusive Club cabin."

I thought they were using slightly different language, words to the effect of either "no A350s currently on order with have First" or "none of the initial A350s will have First" (I have heard/seen both versions.) What I haven't seen/heard yet a definitive statement that NO BAs A350s will have a First! But I probably missed it.
Yep, see https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/30907226-post35.html

First referent was one of those 'at the moment / current plans' thing, which can be read as leaving wiggle-room for a later tranche of F-equipped A350s, but at the same time can also be read as a straight-out statement without going into the realm of :"But do you categorically state that no BA A350 will ever ever have First, pinky-swear, cross your heart and hope to die?" :P

Second ref is a follow-up from last week where BA said "The A350 won't have first class."

Thanks, and obviously those two are not exactly the same, which is why I was pushing on it because no one was being precise with a source.

If that was said by BA in a briefing, then I have my answer - thanks!

I've only been through Dubai on Emirates ( under QF codeshare ), and I know there that transferring didn't mean immigration etc. Not sure whether that's the same at BAs terminal? Also wondering whether I would be able to easily checkin online for the second flight?

Thanks!
I'm curious about this as well, although I'd probably go out on the 107 and come back on one of the daytime flights the following day. I know that there is an airside hotel in DXB which could be useful. a380fan would you plan to do this on one ticket, or 2 separate, or avios redemption etc?

Why did they choose to paint the winglet with union paint and no other wingletted aircraft have them painted. Looks like that gawd awful South African Comair 738.
I hate inconsistency!

I hate inconsistency too! Although I'm more worried about the service and the 777 interiors than the winglets...

I've looked at availability to Toronto and Dubai and can see the A350. After the change from winter to summer 20 timetable the A350 disappears from Toronto. Which routes from then onwards? Thanks.

Once the aircraft is delivered and all the pre-service work has been undertaken.

Airbus don’t give delivery dates until 30 days prior. So for an estimated mid to late July delivery, we won’t see anything loaded until mid-June at the earliest. Possibly early July depending on if the delivery in delayed for any reason.

Based on current plans, you won't see MAD loaded in system until after aircraft arrival for a number of reasons.
