Ah interesting (and also sad as I find QR's design of two-layer electronic blinds great).

In CW, you have rows 15 to 17 if intimacy is your thing!

Sure. Etihad first class apartment is public transport and so is a bajaj between Addis Abeba Bole Airport and Mesquel Square. The fact that we are talking public transport in both cases does not mean that the experiences are remotely comparable.

One can agree or disagree/have different preferences but It really is not that difficult to understand that some people prefer a smaller cabin, which gives you a greater sense of calm and intimacy than a cavernous hall.

As to "small cabins means higher prices": this does not necessarily follow: it is about the use of space: making use of natural smaller spaces or dividing a large space into a series of smaller spaces does not necessarily mean a huge overhead in terms of space usage.

I’ve found the opposite. The older (according to Flightradar24) A350-900 had manual shades and the newer 1000 had electronic ones.

It's just less 3hrs between the flights but yes, looks plenty, especially with Global Entry. Worth the effort I think for an early long haul experience on the new suite.

Despite being well passed their best you can't beat the bubble for a decent night's kip.

Row 7 looks to only have one window.

And certainly is a long way back to the galley from WTP. Harder to pop back for a drink or snack.

The wood panel in the club suite looks lighter than I remember. I think a darker wood stain might have looked a bit higher quality.

As someone who is excited to experience Etihad Apartments for the first time in December (SYD-AUH-CDG) and who clearly read your entire post in context, my takeaway from this thread is that I can look forward to my bajaj experience all the more now.
