We don't have an exact timeline yet, but at some point in the future all LH aircraft will be fitted with the new CW seat (whether via delivery of new frames, refurbishment or retirement of old frames.) Due to retirements and the expected limited pace of refurbishments, the earliest that could be 2023 I believe.

Do you mean DFW? I don't think BA flies anything to DWF!

Anyone flown similar any thoughts on the best seats here when faced with a pretty open seat map? Rows 1-3 come in at Ł91 vs Ł83 for rows 4-8, then 9-11 at Ł75. Not exactly huge price differences (all a complete rip-off for non Silver/Golds) and interestingly no differentials across mid-seats.
Given the bassinet options in rows 1 and 15 at the front of the mini-cabin, and galleries/toilets I'm not seeing why rows 1-3 are more expensive, it's potentially nosier and further from the exit door. I don't tend to see a huge different between rows 4 and 1 in tends of turbulence.
Unless I'm missing something about the layout of the plane where Row 1 is actually the nose and the pilots sit elsewhere. I'm sure I've seen that (outside a 747/380) once but can't recall how they managed it

Seats further forward are priced higher seemingly without any thought to desirability.
Consider the 86J 747 layout where Row 17 is priced at Ł72 which is the same as the better seats in Row 14 and Row 13 is Ł79 but offers no advantages over 14. The all aisle access seats in Rows 20 and 22 are Ł65

Personally Im hoping for BKK, but as a 3 class 772 route, I think it's going to be a while!

From the video's it looks like it is so but can anyone confirm the disappointing fact that BA have opted for central overhead bins? I recently flew the CX A350 and it is amazing how much more claustrophobic it feels compared to the QR A350

Raffles mentioned that BA were going to have central bins. I'm all for storage space, given the quantity of luggage some people bring and the amount of bedding now in the CW cabin.

What are the "updated versions"? In my view, the 787s and A380s already have the latest Y and W seats - it's the 747s and 777-200s that need to be updated. They were re-upholstered a few years ago, but are still the old style seats with flap-down "ears" on the headrests.

Funny enough, They actually do not. The refurbished Gatwick 777s have the latest economy and premium economy cabin
