For the discussion on if/when the new seat will be on (insert flight/route here), please see the companion thread here: British Airways Club Suite 2019 - (When) Will I get the new seat on my flight?
On 18 March 2019, British Airways announced its new Club World seat:

The door side armrest does move, by manual operation of the silver button on the front. This also allows that armrest to be lowered while as a seat, for easier access to the aisle.
Look at photos in the wiki at the top.

Personally although I prefer the AA seat to the QR one I think BA is the better option all round, if it feels claustrophobic or I'm feeling sociable - leave the door open....

So I’m all booked to YYZ on the second week off new A350 Service! Very excited! Both row 1 &2 are available but as we won’t have any feedback for a while on potential galley disturbances etc I think I will play it safe and book 2A?? I presume the doors will quiten things down a bit as on QR Q suite!

Yes, it does appear that's where they have found at least some of the width for the door. The proof will be in spending 7 or more hours in it, I'm quite - erm - wide, so we'll see if the door is worth a cm or two less in this area.

I agree the colours in the photo taken in the bright lights of the crew report centre could be seen as boring and even some of the promo shots but I think with the airbus mood lighting on and a warm reading light, these colours will look quite sophisticated. Or I could be totally wrong - looking forward to finding out though.

When does it start? Mrs BTC wants to go to Toronto and it seems opportune to do when the 350 and new seats are there... providing I can use the GUF2
