I have to say this took me by surprise. Not what I was expecting at all. Well done BA, take a bow.

Is there any business class seat that’s good for anyone taller than 6’3?

I know some of the forum regulars are not too keen on the "suite with door" concept, but I really love it myself and this is what I was hoping for. I think it looks very promising and aspirational. I really look forward to trying it.

Looks great, I wonder if all those people who have been snobbish about Dubai will suddenly be fancying a trip there

Wow just wow. Wowowowowoowow

I wasn’t expecting this from the guy who also brought us M&S buy on board in ET

I hope this marks the return of BA being amongst the best in the world!

The current BA one is the best for taller people sleeping, due to lack of foot coffin. Haven't tried, but I think Oman Air and JAL would also be good.

A 31 second clip on Instagram for anyone that has an account.

I have to say, BA may have pulled this one off and it could depending on the roll out times put them back on the map. This is bound to make some frequent F travellers scratch their heads a bit.

Congratulations BA and I hope this silences the long term critics at least for today!!

It looks excellent in full-cabin mockup and is going to be well received by most on board I'm sure. Certainly an improvement and basically what I was hoping for.

One thing that I will say is that it does look like the width at shoulders is going to be a bit tighter than the super diamond? Also looks like there'll be lap and sash belts for takeoff and landing (similar to others using the same seat)

So a souped up super diamond with higher walls and a door for privacy.
That'll do for me.

First class really needs something special now

The Club Suite will debut on BA’s Airbus A350-1000, which has the following config:
  • 56 business class
  • 56 premium economy
  • 219 economy
  • (BA maintains that no A350s will have first class)
First A350 flights have also been revealed:
  • familiarisation flights to Madrid across August and September (tipped for BA460/461)
  • from October 1, daily to Toronto (BA92/93)
  • from October 8, daily to Dubai (BAxxx, tba!)
Four A350s are due this year, with two B777-200s being refurb’d in Q4, kicking off a broader fleet refit across the next 2˝-3 years.
