Looks nice ... but that’s a single seat. How does 2-4-2 work? That’s surely a major question?

If they are serious of having something of this standard then couple this with new bedding, amenities, food service etc and we could be on to a real winner for a business class product. Then there is just the lounges and horrid supermarket wine selection that has to go.

A move away from 2-4-2 is hopefully a given at this point. All-aisle-access pretty hard with it, too.
1-1-1 for BA100?

The 1-2-1 is why we choose AA for TATL where possible. If that’s the answer, good luck to BA. All-aisle access assured
Not sure how far BA is willing to sacrifice CW cabin density, but as it’s all hypothesis for now ... “Carry On Rumouring”

"we pioneered the first lie-flat in business class"

They have said that all planes fitted with the new Club World will have First reduced from 16 to 8 - so they are getting a little extra space to make up for the lower density.

Not interested in the slightest.
1) CW is fine for what it is, comfortable enough for sleeping - if you dont like stepping over people choose an aisle or pay for F.
2) how many years is it going to take for this to truly be rolled out? Too many.
3) will it really be better than competition or just meeting it? I suspect the latter.

I have been studying the teaser images (like everyone else ). There are similarities evident that suggest the new seat could be a modified version of the Super Diamond or Waterfront products. The armrest geometry matches neither product though.

While excited that BA is finally introducing a new Club World seat, I am old enough to remember the time it took for the whole fleet to get the flat bed and the inevitable disappointment that occurred when passengers flew for more than a year afterwards and did not experience it due to the slow roll out.

I must say the Thomson Vantage Solo reminds me of Club World a great deal. There's obvious reasons why i'm probably way off the mark (fold away TV, narrowbody dimensions) but I have to say the cabin density seems closer. It's a clever use of space.
