I would bet you a penny to a bottle of LPGS in the concorde room, that by the time comes the 200 would be added to the list. Hopefully all this will be sorted by then and things will be back to normal.

Halfway to London westbound with a headwind, turning back with a tailwind they will make it easily.

The ban will also affect Ryanair.
No Ryanair only has planes on order- none in its actual fleet.

Isn't that 18 out of a total of 130 737s? 18 MAXs, 112 -800s.

But that is almost 14% of the 737 fleet, or about one aircraft in 7. That has to make a dent in the flying programme.

I thought the TK MAX aircraft were already in UK airspace, not just halfway there.

No they were a long way out. And France and Ireland have also joined the ban, so a diversion could have caused lots of problems.

FR24 shows the LGW aircraft turned around near Prague, and the MAN aircraft is an A321 and is therefore unaffected.

It was the BHX aircraft that turned around, not the MAN.

It turned around over Germany.

Wont be long before the EASA and the rest of Europe follows suit then.

It will be interesting to see how long the FAA holds out.

TK1969 IST-BHX turned around just past Nuremburg.
