Windy LGW today?

My seat mate had to use the sick bag.
Given him an assuring smile.

tried to upload a flightradar screenshot but “security token missing”.

I quickly changed my LCY flight for one into Heathrow yesterday. Probably unnecessary, but I prefer a wider runway...

We have this in Basel (BSL) right now. I don't think it's going to last long and, unfortunately, it seems to be taking the lovely 15° weather with it. Just in time for our "Fasnacht" carnival which starts tomorrow morning. Ah well.

Flew into AMS yesterday - only one runway operational due to severe winds. Twenty minute holding pattern was very bumpy - doing repeated figures of 8 inside thick cloud was no fun followed by an approach into strong winds with the plane being tossed around and shaking quite violently. Very relieved to land safely.

Keep your seatbelts on when possible! BA always say this during the announcements; not sure about other airlines.

Just landed on a Norwegian flight and did not enjoy it one bit. Kid behind me just announced he’s never going on a plane again.
Must admit, I’m not especially looking forward to the BA flight to Salzburg in 90 minutes.

My BA flight cancelled AGAIN! Jersey into Gatwick. Next flight now tomorrow now too late to connect with two other flights costing us hundreds of pounds to sort out with other agencies
Interesting that ATRs were flying but not BA

There are three more Jersey to Gatwick BA flights today, one of which I'm due on and it's showing as on time still. Have they said at airport no more are flying today?

My flat near Heathrow sounds like it’s about to be blown away. Certainly wouldn’t fancy a flight in this weather.

Same here, flew in on a Embraer 175 so we were going up and bit down a bit. Appreciated the pilot mentioning the 'plane is perfectly build for this' when we started our descent. Believe our holding patterns was up to 40 minutes, causing us to land one hour late in AMS.
