AMEX MR points to BAEC

Could some kind person remind me if point transfers from Amex to BAEC are instantaneous or not? And, if not, how long they take?

Thank you.

I’ve just transferred some and it took 36 hours this time. Sometimes can take as long as 3 days.

Yes it tends to be one to three days. I don't think I've had them transfer in under 24 hours. Which is a real shame given how quickly availability can disappear.

Strange. A couple of specialized sites claim it is instantaneous. It was but it isn't anymore? Or may be it depends on the country ?

Edit: (those sites are US based, I think)

yes it is instantaneous for a US Amex card transfer, but not for a UK Amex card transfer.

I didn't know that. Rather annoying then that it's clearly doable on the BAEC side but not being done in their home market. With VS it's instantaneous here, which is great.

It's the same with Emirates. Instantaneous in the US, up to 48 hours in the UK (althouth, they have been instantaneous IME in the UK).

My experience is that transfers to BAEC have been nearly instant. Maybe 2 minutes.
