JNB lounge for early departure to LHR (BA50)?

Am I right in thinking there is no lounge option for BA50 at Jo'burg?
(BA50, JNB-LHR, departing 7:40am)

The Club side of the lounge is open in advance of the BA50.

My recollection from a week or two back is of a reasonably wide selection of both hot and cold food items - albeit rather sparsely presented. I can’t vouch for the quality as I didn’t eat. Fruit juices and soft drinks plentiful, though no booze, which is locked away and unavailable at that hour.

I ended up getting to the airport way too early - I think I was at the check-in desk about 1h45 before departure. That was fairly swift and the emigration desks empty, the only slow point was security. We ended up getting shunted into the “and staff” queue which, at the beginning of the working day, saw a stream of airport staff being sent to the head of the queue, including ‘Mrs Mop’ complete with trolley, buckets, mops and cleaning products. It was all rather amusing.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but those that have taken this flight, would you be able to give us a steer of what to expect in terms of the meal services? Some of our party are travelling F and the others in J. Thanks!
