Show me 2 examples of short intra europe routes (A319 or similar) 4-5 month into the future that have 10 rows or more of business?
Whilst it’s not this far out if you look at BA490 and BA492 on 23 March you will see that on one flight there’s at least 10 rows of Business Class... The reason approx 64 of us from this board are travelling over 2 flights to Gibraltar for a day or two.

Unlike the US carriers that have a fixed number of rows, typically 3 or 4 in Europe the airlines will typically sell as many CE seats as they can, clearly at a premium. It’s the same seats as coach however in Business Class the empty seat is not used and in most cases has a table on that seat though this isn’t on the newer aircraft.

Its good that you are on one ticket as you are protected and 1hr is the minimum connection time.

As yiu are connecting outside the uK yiu won’t need to clear the border but you will need to go through transfer security. I’d say you have 15-20 mins wiggle time if your flight is late and you are travelling HBO you should be able to get to your new gate 20 mins before boarding, if you are lucky you might come in at a B gate. Chances are your onward flight will be from a B or C gate so if this is the case the transfer security will be a lot quicker and you should be able to potentially negotiate with the flight connections to let you through say 30-35 mins before departure as you are closer to the gate.

As as others have said, sitting in I. Raw 10 or 11 o 12 wont take more than a few minutes longer than row 3 to get off. Your biggest problem will be the punctuality of the flight. At the end of the day if it’s 45 mins late sitting in row 3 isn’t going to get you on your plane but as others have said you can fly to JFK, pretty sure you can ask BA to get you to EWR and depending on circumstances you might qualify for EU261 as well.

As I'm traveling in a party of 3 it is weird that everyone else on the flight paid money (or is gold) and reserved a seat (as the free seats must be in row 1)

Can someone look in another system (Expertflyer/...) or might have some other insights why this flight sold 40 business seats already and why everyone already chose a seat
you are flying close to Swedish mid summer.

That is super peak travel period and Swedes plan a long away ahead. So, they beat you to it. The most to take away from this is: Dålig tur!

If you fly Arn a lot you’ll know that Arn is a home route for a large number of GGL and a material set of GGL4L, so unless club is fully full row 1 will stay blocked. Your average Porsche or Mercedes owning Östermalm swede will have booked long ago.

You will still get the same product in row 10 and it’s quite possible the flight moves to an A321 where club can go into the teens for rows. It can mean faster service as BA can add a crew member and (basic probability) you’ll have a better chance of getting your first meal choice the bigger club is, not that the breakfast choice is that great.

Rather than whining, and then ‘blocking’ the constructive advice of other posters, perhaps learn to be more culturally aware and understand differences

It will make for a much more enjoyable trip.

I have done transfer security but sometimes a secondary security check pops up when going back to the US

If you’re that worried about seeing other people at Heathrow Airport, you could always consider this:

that would be nice but don’t think it will help with connecting

What, specifically, and exactly, would you like the outcome of this thread to be? You seem to have started a thread with a query, did not receive the response you expected/wanted, and now generally just seem to want to argue with everyone.

Do you have any specific questions/clarifications needed regarding your query or can we just go ahead and wrap this up and be done?

Regards

Sorry to hijack the thread but what is it about ARN that makes it such a great provider of premium traffic for BA? Is there lots of business traffic between London and Stockholm as in all honesty its not somewhere I have ever been for work. I'm assuming SAS' somewhat limited range of direct long haul destination helps but what makes premium passengers chose BA over EK and QR? Especially when flying east as you are likely to get two flat bed business class legs rather one intra European business leg and one flat bed leg. I appreciate price is obviously a factor but does anyone know which routes ARN is a great source of feeder traffic for? I'm guessing based on my (probably incorrect) logic above it most be North American destinations?

Transfer se unity at B terminal though is better than the main A terminal so if you arrive at a B or C gate use that, will save you 15-20 mins. If you are travelling F you might even get an escort through the transfer process to speed things up. Hope all goes well.

With respect, if everyone is singing off the same song sheet perhaps the problem is not them?

Your attitude through the latter stages of this thread has been combative and when evidence has been presented (from BA crew no less), it’s been ignored.

Matter for you.

it’s ok to open the emergency door and disembark faster. There are consequences though.
