Best place to buy models

First of all, Planes not people, smart-....

I'd like to pickup a small model of the BA A380 and 787-9 to commemorate my first flights on them. Do they sell them at LHR? On-board? Can you request them if you're flying F or J?

I've Googled around and they're either wwwaaayyy too expensive and / or not available in my country.

Thanks in advance.

A number of shops in T5 sell model aircraft in BA colours. I know Concorde and 747 models exist, but I am less certain on the others.

BA used to sell them on-board many years ago as well as in their Travel shops...I still have a BA bag kicking around somewhere.

Take a look here: https://www.scalemodelstore.com/sear...s+a380&sc_id=0

There are a number on ebay too, but seem to be more expensive.

I use Diecast Model Aeroplanes For Sale Online | Aviation Retail Direct, UK (shop just by Heathrow + they offer delivery). If you're looking for a 1:200 model, you can save by buying their annual membership card too.

There are many good retailers online. I purchased this from a stall at Farnborough last year. Nearest I can get to Concorde!

Try Alibaba Express

https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale...airways+models

I love Alibaba Express. You can earn avios on purchases, you order something which usually costs very little and a few months later it arrives when you'd almost forgotten about it.

You can’t just get close at the Filton museum, you can get inside. Small hard seats cramped together, tiny windows, little storage space for your three carry-ons, mini loo, claustrophobic ....... how I wish I had flown on it!

You can board and sit in a Concorde if you travel to New York, and go to the Intrepid Museum. I have a lovely photo of me sitting in 1A on that aircraft.
