What route are they travelling? (is it transit in LHR that you are concerned about?. In US, you can get a gate pass to go through TSA security right upto the gate which I have used before at JFK and Newark. Since there is no immigration involved, you walk out as a domestic passenger. And if trip involves Indian airports(assumption here) - some airports sell visitor passes which allow you upto check-in (Mumbai - https://csia.in/passenger/visitor-entry.aspx)
