64K is now a cot seat?

Apologies if this is old news, but tried to book 64 K today at online checkin only to be told it was a cot seat. When did this happen?

Also despite being told by one agent that 64 A, also a cot seat, opens at T-24 it now appears you have to ask at the airport and it is cleared at some (unspecified) time.

Does anyone have recent experience? I"ve searched the forum but it's all dating back to 2015. Thanks!

I'm in 64K for a few upcoming trips, and it is not a designated cot-seat. 64A is however.

I don't think that's right - I was upstairs on a 747 a couple of weeks and only 64A had a bassinet

I'm looking at my next 747 upper deck booking in a few weeks and it shows as usual 64A blocked out with the bassinet, and 64K open for selection (and occupied on the return)

I think the agent is getting mixed up and perhaps seeing 64K as blocked/unavailable to you if it's held back for BAEC Gold (Silver also?) for now, and then getting confused with the bassinet?

It should be available for Gold and Silvers, it may not be available for purchase however. I think you were wrongly advised there, but by all means provide the flight details so we can check. There isn't physically a bassinet there anyway.

And that would seem to be a definitive answer to the question whether 64K is a bassinet seat.

The seats available for paid pre-allocation are (IIRC) 63AB, 63JK, 64B and (on some flights) 60B. So 64K wouldn't be taken by someone who has to pay to pre-allocate. But this wouldn't prevent someone grabbing it online when OLCI opens.

I have 64K for an upcoming trip and not a cot seat on that one...

Likely a system glitch with that flight/seating map.

Was in it yesterday, no bassinet there

7jk seems to be blocked on the 789 for a trip in 2020. Wonder if it's a similar reason.

No, if it's a longer flight such as KUL, SCL, it will be for crew rest reasons.
