Lost wallet AMS to LHR 2/18

Hi
yesterday on the 18th I was booked on ba 431 but it was cancelled and rebooked on on, BA 447. I'm the chaos of getting off the plane reclaim and rechecking the baggage I lost wallet. Guess is that it's in the Club Europe lounge in AMS or on the aircraft for BA 447 (coats were moved around to make way for excess baggage and I think my wallet fefe out in the overhead locker as jackets were shuffled around.

Authorities at AMS nor LHR have had it turned in yet, but does anyone know what happens if it's found on an aircraft on a later flight? The BA website suggestd it's turned into the airport where it's found?

All advice appreciated.

Unless it was being held by a pink teddy bear you'll need a bit of luck to get it back.

Good luck!

Hi
Lesson learned. 1) no wallet in coat pockets And 2) next time my coat and suitcase is removed from the overhead, I'll get more involved . I understood why they needed to consolidate Club Europe overheads to accommadate overflow from economy, but we the way it was done was too rushed and chaotic. I do also think, in hindsight, BA cabin personnel should have helped the passengers reorder the overheads.
