New bag labelling policy?
Travelling from MAN this afternoon, HBO. My bag has a gold tag on it (yes, I’m aware this has been debated before) but I was asked to put a blue BA address label on the bag. Didn’t require to write anything on it. Other passengers were seemingly asked the same. Seems a bit pointless to me. Is is this a new policy or just a confusion by check in staff? |
Suspect they have run out of yellow cabin bag tags (which are pointless too!)

I've not heard of any new policy, but a number of airlines use labels to show the bag that the label is attached to has been authorised as cabin baggage.

They had not run out of the yellow labels - and were dishing them out to almost everyone. Hence my question. MAN is my home airport, and since the number of flights have been reduced virtually every flight is leaving full. Some people still arrive with very large carry-ons or with more than two bags, this new method might be a trial to see if they can resolve those difficulties. |
