Don't know for sure on BA A380s, but on Quantas A380, there is a camera looking over that "nook" inside the curtain. How do I know? On Dallas-Sidney flight in F, wife changed there only to have cabin crew advise her there is a camera feed into the cockpit!

I stopped changing to PJ's on planes.
SOP is I get harrassed by female/camp crew when I nip to the loo.

"are you fine Sir?"
"Can I give you a hand?"

The perils of being too good looking.

I haven’t had any smutty cabin crew for a while. I need to fly more or up my game!

I was flying on QR in business and the shoulder strap, rather unfortunately, diagonally sliced my bosom in half. Although I didn't feel any discomfort a young male cabin crew came over and politely asked if he could help with the strap. It was a good 8 seconds trying to rearrange the strap before he suddenly realized he had over committed himself. I rescued him saying that was fine and could he get me some water. Poor chap he was so embarrassed.

I used to change before takeoff, but now change once air-borne.

Why?

Because there's nothing fun about standing in BKK airport at 2am wearing QR First Class Missoni pyjamas once the aircraft has gone tech en route to takeoff.

To top it all off? I still had the slippers on while they processed my re-route at the desk!

At least they were First Class pyjamas and made by Missoni. No issues getting back into the lounge I hope 😉

I ended up getting in a cab and going to a hotel - still in my pyjamas.

Felt like a berk, until I realised that it was Thailand, and I was actually dressed quite fashionably!

I get changed in the loo before take off but wear a jacket for departure in the hope I will not look a complete plonker if subsequently need to deplane. Thankfully I have never had to test my theory.

Does anyone just sleep in their normal clothes?

Not sleep but nap. Depends how long the flight is and how warm the cabin.

Plenty of people do. But I don't like to do that. I don't routinely sleep in my normal clothes when I'm at home, and for the same reasons I like to change when I'm on board an aircraft.

Back to the original topic of this thread: I have once had to change in my seat at the end of a flight, when it became pretty clear that there wouldn't be enough time for me to do it in the loo. A blanket can cover a multitude of sins, and I wasn't exactly getting naked.

In the lav before take off on every long haul flight regardless of day or night time. I did once spot a guy in 1K (747) strip down to his underwear and put the PJ's on while sitting in his seat. Common decency has long ago evacuated this planet.

As above hopefully you are on the A380 .... if so pop upstairs before take off and use the huge front toilets in CW ... far less chance if pulling a muscle !
