Just checked in for my flight EDI-LHR for tomorrow in euro traveller Silver status and it’s showing group 1 boarding. Is this an IT error can anyone enlighten me ??

Interestingly the chap standing in front of me on Wednesday evening's 21:00 LHR - GLA had the same thing, he was a silver travelling by himself in ET with group 1 on the boarding pass.

Is it simply based on numbers? As in a minimum of 10% are in group 1. If CE and Gold only make up 9% then some Silvers (based on CIV hopefully) will fill in the gap.
Efficiency of boarding wise it would be stupid to call a group/ devote time to a group that would leave a hole in boarding numbers
