I present you the VGML (VEGAN) catering in FIRST.

  • Amuse bouche: 2 pieces of grilled vegetables + 1 raw tomato. No dressing or flavouring.
  • Main course: plain boiled rice + 2 plain boiled broccoli + boiled pumpkin cubes. No flavouring or sauce.
  • Dessert: nothing was loaded unfortunately.

We did not take photo of breakfast. It was worse then dinner.
No soy milk was loaded.

Crew was very apologetic, offered 12,000 avios as service recovery which my partner accepted, though in my opinion it shouldíve been more.

A disgrace, especially compared to the good CE vegan meals.

OP, I take it you weren’t especially amused by the amuse-bouche offering. That, along with the main course, will surely have cost BA a combined total of as much as £1.50.

Not to be confused with “your first class restaurant in the sky” promised by the website.

Also interesting that you got 12k avios service recovery while someone else got 5k avios for no meal loaded (LHR-HKG, F) at all which was mentioned in this thread recently:

Wrong special meal requested?

That was also me florens.
Outbound I have made the error in the first place by selecting lacto-ovo instead of vegan. But then when I called YouFirst a week before my flight they said that Vegan was in fact selected.
(So both me and YouFirst made a mistake hence I gor 5K avios only)

This time a vegan meal loaded but as you can see it was more of an economy meal hence I got 12K avios.

But would you agree that 12K Avios is appropriate?

I wasnít going to bargain with the CSM, but I did feel that the amount offered was too low.

I really don't to be honest. By today's standards that is rather generous even for such a poor meal. Many people reported receiving less for some non-reclining seats in J and F!

That makes me feel good then.
I am sure I have seen people getting 20K Avios for this and that in F (canít remember what the problems were), but maybe I am wrong...

I don't think you are wrong - it is a bit like Russian roulette without the risk to die. A lot of randomness, depends on who, when, whether you have already complained/received other things, and various mystery meat ingredients. However, on balance yours is very much in the higher end.
