Whose birthday are we celebrating?

I’ve just checked and have received it. Which prompts me to ask: are we thinking about this the right way around? I think @thisiskosman is onto something in post #2.

Ok, some of us have recently benefited from a “birthday bonus” of 2,018 Avios each - individually, on our birthdays.

But - given several of us have received 2,019 Avios despite it not being our birthday today - perhaps this coincides with a rather different “birthday”. One celebrated this year - and one about which an announcement was made today in relation to re-liverying a 747 in BOAC colours?

I suggest this isn’t a BA IT failure* but rather a birthday gift to BAEC members to celebrate BA’s 100th birthday?

* except for those who haven’t received it (yet?)

Nothing for me either and nor did I get a bonus on my birthday

worth contacting the missing avios account on here? Lol

Does appear to be a bit off to give to some but not others

for those getting the avios did you get an email because I’ve opted out of marketing ons.

Agreed.

I have never received a birthday bonus or email offer IIRC.

That makes perfect sense. Especially co-inciding with the £100 flights released today.

Be intrigued on how the algorithm decided who received it.

Got 2018 free avios on my birthday in August also.

Usual soldiers fairwell for me, despite the fact I flew the day before my birthday last year. Perhaps being in a household account disqualifies me. I would be interested to hear.

Definitely no issues due to a household account, I'm in one. Although my wife got no birthday bonus of either kind!
