Oh, I really hope so!

BA doesn't mind paying for the odd paint shop visit for promotional reasons.

They do seem to mind paying for repainting after the promotional period is over - how long did the Olympic "Doves" livery go on for? Years!

So, we could be seeing BEA and Landor livery aircraft for several years

G-BYGC and G-CIVB will also receive special liveries commemorating airlines which merged over the years and created British Airways. G-CIVB will be retired this November and will only wear its heritage livery for a couple of months. G-BYGC, however, does not currently have a known set retirement date. The fourth heritage livery will be on an Airbus A319, though not on one of the 17 the airline plans to retire before Dec. 2020.

It would be nice to see an A320 in BCal livery - like the very first one was.

Very sad that it will only fly around in that livery for a few months but it will probably be the last 747 to ever be repainted.
G-CIVB was scheduled to be retired in November this year, however you'll be pleased to hear that this date has been delayed. I think the info is already out there.

Posted earlier, and completely agree, particularly for that reason.

Just class.

Yes, I noticed that for the most recent set of updates to the tracker post. I will add the retro livery note to G-CIVB shortly.

Have any of the mods/admins from this forum been invited next Monday for the arrival of the B747?

Are there any other BA planes about with special liveries, not including these?

Ones that come to mind are the gold 319s and a YMM 777 that had been painted in a sort of Japanese style livery, but no idea if these have been reverted to regular style or not

The doves are gone now. There was one left at LHR (EUPH?) but that was repainted late last year.

I remember those yellow Tridents. BKS Air Transport - now that goes back. I rather think that this about a living airline rather than the dead - they might just as soon trot out something in BMI livery in that event.
