Assuming one of the other 747s will be repainted in the Landor livery, this will be taking them back to when they were originally delivered. For example, G-CIVB

Do you think it'll be given it's original "name" as well (City of Lichfield)?

It seems a 787 will be painted using Landor.

where have you heard that?

Our resident insider TCX69 is saying three 747s and one A319 https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/30683332-post25.html

This was a tweet from Scott Bateman (BA pilot). However reading back the tweets it was just a reaction to a mock-up from someone, not an official statement So I stand corrected.

I suppose that makes sense, as the 747s will be retired in the medium term, and an A32x would make sense for the BEA angle. However I had hoped that a 777 & A380 might have been in line, the 777 in Negus could have been interesting, as would a 380 in Landor IMO.

A380 in Landor would be fantastic.

Pedant alert: the donks are still wrong on this one.

YGE is in Dublin, but it's likely just a coincidence.

Dublin Airport tweeted yesterday that it is indeed in for the paint job and is scheduled to depart for LHR 18 Feb but conflicting statements suggest YGE is due out of paint 05 Feb with YGC going in for the retro.....

Now that was a livery an airline could be proud of!

BA will surely only be giving special colour schemes to aircraft which are due for re-paint anyway? They won't be pulling in aircraft for re-paint that would otherwise not need it.

Depends if the paint costs are coming out of the BA100 marketing budget or a maintenance budget or the Ł6.5BN ‘investment’ budget.

Are Boeing making a contribution from their B747 50th birthday budget?

There’s also money in the pot from the ‘Eu 261:2004 we told them to get lost and they believed us’ budget.

There seems that there’s money here and there for repaints, so let’s have a few to make this memorable.
