Looking at my Instagram this morning it feels like I was sent back in time overnight to 1989.

Looks amazing, but I'm also a little sad. Back when Landor was the livery was (for me) when BA was the premier airline in the world.

These retro liveries are also really showing up how tired Speedmarque/Chatham Dockyard now is. It's been around since '97 so has lived much longer than Landor, Negus etc.

It appears I am on today's Chicago service. She's certainly a busy lady.

That's some amount of flying by the Queen. Take good care of her!

It required a 5am visit to the paint shop. I chose to pass!

Surely you could have sent somebody in your place if being up at 5am was too much for you?

I don't think many of the original BOAC passengers had access to wifi but fortunately it works perfectly well on this G-BYGC service. So greetings from somewhere over Lanarkshire. The captain did say a short piece in his address about the livery and how it tied in with the BA100 celebrations.

So, CWS, does the interior seating etc. reflect the times, or is it kitted out in today’s style?

Whatever, enjoy!

No it's a SuperJ with Panasonic IFE, and no trolleys of roast beef ready for carving to be seen anywhere.

Pity! Right now a slice (or two) of rare roast beef plus accompaniaments would go down a treat!

Yes, but I seem to remember them being bigger and lower down. I was actually looking for the door logo, but hadn’t been able to see it until you mentioned it. Maybe there were different versions over the Landor lifetime.
