Not matter what we call the forms you will have still have people that look confused.
Take flights to the US when we used to give out custom forms, even though it was very clear from the announcement that Americans who were not members of the Global Entry Program needed them I would walk through the cabin looking at a sea of faces who looked like I had asked them the hardest question in the world.

The announcement does give you a clue though even if you don’t recognise the term ‘landing card’ itself....from memory it goes something like

”We will shortly distribute landing cards for the United Kingdom. If you final destination is the UK or Republic of Ireland today and you do not hold a European Union passport, you will need to complete a landing card. If you’re in direct transit to another international flight today then there is no need to complete one. If you are unsure about whether you need to complete any documentation, please ask one of your cabin crew.”

Have you never heard of blank verse?

Or onomatopoeia?

And yet, amazingly, it turns out, non-English speakers have been flying around the world, for, you know, a very long, long time. Somehow they survive, just like somehow I can survive flying to Japan and not speaking Japanese.

I apologise - it was a fine list (but still nothing rhyming with CARD...)

It seems a lot of countries do perfectly fine without them.
Or make you lot fill them in online prior to arrival

Landing wicked stepmother,
Doesn’t rhyme with Scottish heather,
Not with landing my grandmother.
I shall forthwith cease to bother!
