Any chance of some more A380s this year? As more of the 747s come to retire and second hand A380 leases come up?

I thought that the previous chance at second hand A380s was ruled out. Wasnt one issue that older A380s had launch issues, which made ongoing maintenance issues much more costly. I think one issue mentioned was plane specific wiring, rather than the more structured wiring of later builds.

* The A350 has a version of the Iberia seat

* The opportunity to do something really ambitious, marketing wise, for the 100th anniversary is squandered

* The lounge management contract is given to a high-end group such as Plaza Premium or Do&Co (bizarrely this may happen)

* Absolutely nothing else happens but we are still reminded on a regular basis how BA is 'investing' 6.5bn to make life better at some indeterminate point in the future :-)

Between 1 and 4 planes will be painted with a retro-livery, one of them will be a 747.

I was under the impression that although that was partly the case, some of the reason was that BA did not want them till 2020ish and the owners needed to do something with them sooner. Presumable any maintenance cost increase would be reflected a lease amount.

Would be great to get some rollback from BoB, and include at least Tea/Coffee/Softdrinks.

Apart from making the odd tweak here and there I suspect it'll be another successful year for BA.

Whether I'll be flying with them or not in 2019 will be of no concern to them at all.

All BA management agree on a 50% pay rise. along with cutting customer service to justify how well BA is doing
(ok not really be that serious0
