BA115 10JAN2019 Divert to YQY?

I am picking up friends @ JFK from BA115 LHR-JFK, BA site shows it as on time and FlightAware shows it as diverted / landed in YQY Sydney (Nova Scotia). Anyone know what is going on?

It’s not diverted. Just about to pass in to US airspace at 39000ft

There is something odd with the flightpath but, it definitely didn’t divert to YQY!

It’s just a combination duff data and the fact that for a large portion of a TATL flight there is no coverage so it is just drawing estimated flight paths. The zig zag flight path as it approached Canada I am sure didn’t really happen.

Again, Flightradar24 et al do not use any official data and just decides ADS data captured by hobbiest receivers. NATS airspace explorer app does use NATS radar feeds in UK airspace. As pointed out predicted tracks do not always resemble the NAT Track structure of the day.

Thank you, that's a great app.
