TBF, I would rather the flight leave on time

I’d rather they didn’t pretend to offer a pre-depature glass of champagne than (a) make it hit and miss whether you get one; or (b) make it so small and flat that it’s not worth drinking.

Would you like an inch of champagne, sir?

It’s only CW, and perhaps they’re conserving stocks pre-Brexit, but this is the post-boarding drink I’ve just been served on BA39. (And every glass on the tray was similarly “filled”.)

What exactly does “it’s only CW” mean? We shouldn’t have to compromise.

On our recent Dubai flights in CW the glasses were filled up to the brim. Maybe it was the staff on the upper deck of the 747 but they looked after us very well. I had to stop them filling up the drinks on the flight.

“It may only be CW” but it could easily cost Ł4K+ for a return trip.

And some. My recent work trip, simple return LHR-IAD, cost Ł7K. And yeah I got the thimble treatment lol.

Just serve it in a smaller AF type glass and it would look more.

Not worth serving at all.

Hard to imagine anyone would actually offer this as a welcome drink to a dinner party guest. There might be some uncomfortable looks if you did.

Tight with the champers

Is it just me or have the servings of pre-take off champagne in CW gone minuscule? Barely two sips worth!

The cabin crew must have gone on special training to dish out super stingy servings.

It's not just you.

Edited after thread was merged into existing thread, to remove circular link.

They really should just scrap it all together at this point as it sets such a bad impression for the welcome on board.
