Although I wish Brexit would just go away and be forgotten about the article itself says:

And under a no deal Brexit, British airlines will be able to fly freely to Europe from the UK and back, but will lose to rights to fly onward journeys between two EU airports
Which doesn't really affect BA does it?

I suspect more of a worry for BA/IAG would be the predicted UK economic sh*tstorm in the months/years post Brexit.

A clip on Rip OFf Britain today on error fares. The BA Tel Aviv fare was featured and one person didn’t accept the cancellation nor the compensation. Went to BAs arbitration service e so I am presuming CEDR and they ruled in the passengers favour and ordered BA to provide the flights at the error fare or EUR 600 per person.

Does this set a precident and open the flood gates for these fares to be honoured or the fact that the compensation vouchers accepted and spent concludes the matter or is this good news for other error fares.

No surprises here really. Claiming an error for a fare still above the fare level of some competitors was never going to end well. Frankly, I think BA got off easy on this one and would have expected more repurcussions.

I don't think so. It was not an obvious error on the face of it and could quite easily have been a reasonable sale - it was only when you went in to the detail of the selling classes that you realised something may be wrong as it was booking in to B or Y class I think. I am not surprised by the CEDR ruling for this tbh.

This is in comparison to lets say Viking at £350 Norway to US in J, or Germany to KUL in F for £750, or CX's recent F fares where I think any FT'er would struggle to claim they thought they were legit when booking.

The WTP changes have come a bit too late for this couple https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...breakfast.html who are complaining about the quality of the WTP catering.

Couple who paid £2,000 for BA World Traveller Plus tickets on 12-hour flight slam 'disgusting' croissant and cereal bar breakfast after reading of airline's 'traditional full English' on website

  • Steve Kro and his partner paid £2,000 to upgrade to BA World Traveller plus
  • The package promised luxury, comfort and a wholesome full English breakfast
  • But when they were handed their morning meal neither could hide their disgust
  • Pictures show a small croissant and a measly breakfast bar wrapped in plastic
The comments section makes even worse reading for BA

There used to be a couple of ways
Slots - syndicate on wheel of fortune when pot got big
Roulette - Getting a bad croupier who spins the wheel in the same direction at the same speed and releases the ball with the same weight.

And of course LUCK. If you don't gamble all the time there's a significant chance you can come away with more than you started with. Although the casinos are extremely clever in minimising the chance of this in subtle ways.

There's a big difference from having a bit of a flutter as part of a fun vacation and being a problem gambler.
If you pay £400/night for a room presumably you won't baulk at losing $1000 for a bit of fun. Just as you might pay a similar amount for boxing tickets.
