The Observer has an article tomorrow putting the boot in:
The recent TV advert celebrating British Airways’ 100th anniversary was framed as a love letter to Britain, narrated by national treasures such as artist Grayson Perry, astronaut Helen Sharman and a phalanx of sporting stars.
“We love you, Britain,” gushes Oscar-winner Olivia Colman.
The problem for BA is that neither Britain, nor the rest of the world, appears to love it back. The past few years have been punctuated by a series of lingering headaches – a mixture of bungling and sheer bad luck....

Strikes, IT failures, customer unrest: can BA pull out of this nosedive?

I enjoyed the last line...
I think that perfectly sums up BA this year.

But I’m in no doubt we will see the airline making a good attempt to advertise when the Access All Areas documentary (as per parallel thread) airs later this week........ with the BA propaganda machine going into overdrive

It won’t make the Media, and you won’t be surprised, but ... ba.com says I have no future bookings, and OLCI isn’t working either.
Utterly pathetic ... how long have these bugs been breeding now? A couple of years, and still not fixed?

One thing, amongst many, that does (continue to) make the media is the state of BA cabins .......

I get the no future bookings on the desktop site quite frequently. Go to the mobile app but yes it's a pain if you have as many forward bookings as I do (>12 normally)

A successful one financially by all accounts....which the article eventually states after all the small talk.
BA can afford this much-needed investment because all that cost-cutting has made for bumper profits. Accounts for parent company IAG, formed via the £5bn merger of BA and Iberia in 2011, show that the British part of the airline is by far the most lucrative,

Lucrative, yes. But the share price tells us something as well. It’s not just a simple equation.

We need more of his line of thinking here - 'But to paint an actual picture, a statistical, logical picture – you must remove your emotion and look at facts and figures for a brief moment.'
