Is it just me, or is the BA site trying to force a 120min connection for PHX-LAX-JFK? OTOH, worth noting that the fare @teledude booked, aside from ensuring good time in the LAX lounges, books JFK-LAX-JFK in J, so you can pretty much pick any transcon flight you want (and upgrade to F if you so wish for 12,500 Avios). It won't allow routing through SF and is somewhat restricted on LAX-PHX especially, still I am looking at something like https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...9acb913b9d.png Which is a bit cleaner of a route. Does anyone know if we do a hold whether BA will edit the route before ticketing? |
The problem with the ba.com multicity tool is that it will only allow 120 min or more connections even if MCT is a lot less and there is a shorter connection option. |
Just figured that out. If we ticket it, will BA let you change it within 24hrs or are we stuck with it? Looks like no price hold with multi city, either.

Here's what I have just booked which works out to 800 teir points and plus the positioning flights the day before and after get's me to gold again with 3 months to spare for €1239 and over 47000 Avios.

I did find a slightly cheaper version earlier today for €1250. This included the Transcon in J so would earn the 800TPs. However, this meant leaving OTP on the Tuesday and starting the journey back in the Sunday. |
