If you're prepared to wait 24 hours (and risk losing the fare) you'll be able to post a screenshot tomorrow and then we can offer better assistance.

Hello, I’m a complete amateur at TP runs so bear with me. I’m building up the courage to take a TP run, probably OTP-PHX. I’ve seen one in August for £1,449 - 09 -12 August. Could someone with an experienced eye take a look at it and see a) if it’s doable and b) if there’s anything I need to be aware of!!
I’ve tried to attach a screenshot but seems I’m not allowed
Many thanks 🙏
I haven't tried particularly hard but I couldn't get the HEL return into it easily.

I must be missing something....Seeing GBP 567 as the cheapest in Jul/Aug and Jan/Feb.

Try 7-14 August or 4-11 September using Google Flights. You'll usually need to wait 10+ seconds for the MH fares to "fall into place" and then click through to Expedia. The calendar view on Google Flights doesn't seem to show MH for some reason.

£1450 sounds tempting though!

[QUOTE=Misco60;31192219]Powertools "scrapes" the flight information from the ITA screen and pastes it all into the website of your chosen airline, allowing you to book the itinerary without having to re-enter all the details. It works pretty
Thank you - I’ve surprised myself and seem to have managed to set it up! Is it useful for regular itineraries or TP runs specifically?

Afternoon Everyone!
Have I had fun reading through all the posts, so much to learn..... that being said I would really like to do a TP run to try and hit gold - can anyone help point me in the right direction or spend a little bit of time with me to get my first run under my belt?
TIA

Considering it's your first post, I hope you've found this thread and the BA section in particular to be helpful thus far. I'm sure one of the ambassadors will welcome you shortly.
Generally a post such as yours would be frowned upon as it doesn't give us anything to go on besides a request for help. The folks here are knowledgeable and able to help, but as a starting point could I suggest:
1. How many TPs do you earn organically?
2. When does your collection year end?
3. What is your budget?
4. Where are you based and if London, are you open to ex-EU?
5. Are there any locations you prefer, or would rather avoid?
This will help the community suggest a routing/fare to generate the required TPs within your timeframe and/or budget.

Hi BA707,
what a rookie error on my part and I appreciate you taking the time to show me the way
ok here goes
1. I earn around 3-325 a year organically
2. collection year ends 08/01/2020
3. I would ideally like to keep costs down (wouldn't we all) but around the £1500 mark would be a good place to be
4. Yes based in London, and very open to ex-EU
5. locations - I'm very open. I liked the look of the one Hula1973 proposed hitting New York, Los Angeles etc
Thank you again so much

Can't post URL to image until 5 posts, but just priced up TPE-KUL-DPS in Z class on Malaysian website for £401 (TWD 15,976), searched originally through Momondo for 6th-9th August. This fare not coming up in ITA and Google flights.

That said, (arguably) the best value right now is AUH/DXB-CGK on UL.
Ticket 1:
08/10/2019 LHR 12:45 - AUH 23:05
15/10/2019 AUH 01:50 - LHR 06:30
Basic Economy O, 40TP, £340
Alternative
07/10/2019 LHR 17:05 - AMM 00:10 +1
08/10/2019 AMM 21:30 - AUH 01:40 +1
15/10/2019 AUH 07:20 - AMM - LHR 15:25
Economy W, 50TP, £362
Ticket 2:
09/10/2019 AUH 23:00 - CMB - CGK 13:30 +1
11/10/2019 CGK 14:24 - CMB - AUH 22:00
Business I, 140 * 4 = 560TP, £676
Ticket 3:
12/10/2019 AUH 23:00 - CMB - CGK 13:30 +1
14/10/2019 CGK 14:24 - CMB - AUH 22:00
Business I, 140 * 4 = 560TP, £676
The run is 1120TP @ £1352 = £1.21/TP
Assuming you go with BA for positioning, 1160TP @ £1692 = £1.46/TP, plus 2 nights each in AUH and CGK.
You'll need 340TP elsewhere and don't forget the 4 BA flights (2 of which are here).

You can use Powertools for any itinerary, but it's obviously most useful when you've spent some time putting together a complex itinerary in Matrix and don't want to have to enter all the details again in the airline booking engine.
It's not without its problems, though: there have been many times when I've used Powertools and gone right through to the final booking screen on the airline's site (usually AA, in my case) only to get an error. In those cases I find that it usually works if I start again and enter the flights from scratch.
