I am no expert compared to lots of the regular contributors here but the simplest way to get this on the Matrix for me is just to use Round Trip with the routing and alliance / faring extensions shown below.
You may swap LHR and HEL around to avoid an overnight in HEL and get to spend the night at home if you are London based. Just noticed that the Outbound and Inbound are on different fares and both allow a stopover for EUR 150 if you need to spread the trip out.

Thanks to the help of a number of FTers upthread, I've now booked this OTP-PHX itinerary, with stopovers putting the price up to £2.34/TP (I think):

However, I've realised that I've made a bit of an error with my positioning flight to OTP on 8th July. My TP year ends on 8th July, but I've booked to go Club Europe in order to earn TPs - which will get reset for the next year almost as soon as they post! I know BA offer a 2-week extension at the end of the year, do they allow you to do a similar thing at the beginning? If not, no worries - I'll get to keep the Avios, of course, and I'll just treat it as a lesson learned! I'll have plenty of time throughout the year to earn those points elsewhere.

CDG-SAN is available in Nov / Dec too for certain dates, £1.50 / TP. I've booked something similar to this. Can someone remind me the best place to find the multiple record locators? I have found two : one is AA for part of the AA segments, one is the HEL-CDG return ; but i'm missing some others! need them to be able to reserve seats. I've tried RJ.com and Quantas but without success and TripIt doesn't do what it used to [edit: it is booked on the usa AA.com site and ticket is 001- stock]
Thanks!

@wanderingjock I had a similar issue with record locators recently. I phoned AA who gave me the missing locator over the phone. Just phoned regular number as no AA status and was answered very quickly.

I am based in FRA and need 180 TP by July 30.
I found some flights with decent TP/EUR ratios (e.g., I found 160 TP for 329 EUR for a r/t LGW-CTA; or 160 TP for around 440 EUR with two r/t AMS-LGW).
But once I factor in the time for positioning, these become a lot less attractive (as I need a hotel night before and sometimes after the TP run).
To cut a long story short, does somebody have better TP run ideas for me? It would be easier for me to start in FRA or to position to CGN, DUS, STR or NUE.

how about FRA-MAD return wit Latam? thats 80 TP each leg. price is sometimes as low as 180 263 EUR return with one night stay in MAD.
you can check for MAD-FRA-MAD (and sleep at night) and build around a Iberia FRA-MAD-FRA ticket which will certainly provide the other 20 TP if booked in the right booking class.

Does anyone know, why AY let you select seats on the european but not on the TATL segments?
For those it says, seats can be selected at check-in?

Sorry, I just phrased in unclearly. My TP collection year ends August 8. But I'll be travelling between July 31 and mid-August (non-OW). That is why I wrote I need the TP by July 30.
Thanks. That is an option. Although, I'm still hoping for something better than 520 EUR plus two overnight stays in MAD for 160 TP.
Another doable one I found so far is by starting in LUX. That is not optimal for me as positioning to LUX is somewhat inconvenient (expensive flights/poort train connections from FRA). But at least from there, prices seem to be good. Another problem seems to be though, that I see some flights such as LUX-LHR-MAN on GF but these aren't bookable at those prices.
