2019 POUG rate tracker Please add your own successful results to the follow list including the month/year when the POUG was offered to you. Please delete any figures from 2018 or earlier if you have a 2019 price. Previous data lives on via post 2. UPDATED TO: Post #9 POUGs are offered via BA.com and the App Manage My Booking via a distinctive banner (example from MMB below). You cannot get a POUG by telephoning, however the service centres can complete a POUG which falls over mid transaction. They are offered on cash and Avios redemptions but typically not on complex routings, BA Holidays or travel agency bookings until OLCI stage. POUGs on Avios redemptions won't get you additional TPs/Avios, but they will on revenue tickets.  Short haul routes from LON to/from Europe A price in pounds indicates a ticket issued from London, other currencies indicate prices for tickets issued overseas (e.g. singles or returns originating from CDG priced in Euros). Multiple prices indicate a range of fares are on offer. Note that LCY prices currently seem to be on a different basis to LGW and LHR (cheaper, in other words).

UPDATE: As CWS notes in the "So - who got a free upgrade this week?" thread, the level of these prices appear to be fare differences, although they are being touted on MMB as 'limited time offer's.

Oddly, still being offered a 'limited time offer' from WT+ to CW for two of us on this Thursday's IAD-LHR when there's only 1 seat in CW. Could be cosy of taken!

Was offered $250CAD for YUL-LHR

I’m flying tomorrow, Gatwick to JFK at 4.35pm.
Currently in Economy but after speaking with BA just now, World Traveller is overbooked. Im checking my app every hour to see if there is any upgrade options, as they will obviously need to move a handful of customers out of Economy. Nothing so far though.
Is it most likely they will just hold on to these upgrades to either sell at check in or just randomly allocate? Or should I keep checking the app?
Currently in Economy but after speaking with BA just now, World Traveller is overbooked. Im checking my app every hour to see if there is any upgrade options, as they will obviously need to move a handful of customers out of Economy. Nothing so far though.

EDIT: just to add that UuAs, POUGs, and AUPs could still be offered so do watch for those, but I don't see any operational need for BA to upgrade anyone here.

That is very odd - and like you say nowhere near overbooked. I was trying to upgrade with Avios to WT+ but she basically said it’d be better to try the app or at airport tomorrow, as they’d have better deals given Economy is overbooked....
She said WT was overbooked and WT+ had 9 seats.
Maybe I’ll call back to upgrade
