That’s quite specific dates to get a good fare, you tend to need some flexibility. What have you found so far? You’ll typically find more help if say what you’ve found, and why it doesn’t work, so that people can help with the fine tuning.

Cheers Dougzz, flexible on dates, ideally looking something around 2k though appreciate it may be unrealistic!

Cheapest I could see was BA out of Oslo via LHR and SIN, but that was still £3K and means coming back to London to then go to Istanbul.

Returning to Oslo was as low as £2450 on certain dates, but would mean separately getting to Istanbul, this was again BA.

DPS is always a bit tricky. Italy or Germany are good origination points to Asia; if lucky you will occasionally get very good deals and usually always under 1700GBP. See this.

You can have a play around on ITA for something more suitable, but if 1500/1700 is acceptable you can get out there easily. Less needs a one-off deal.

Best I could find don't know if positioning flights would make it cheaper overall. If prepared to go Star Alliance and Air China just over £2k from London

Thnx markedman . I was more looking for 1500 euos. Haha. At most.

I guess a deal will come up right after the 100% bonus ends. 😎

I’m not sure if it’s been mentioned already, but there is a DUB-ORD fare for £1,650 in J. ARN and WAW are a little cheaper.

And that's the problem with this thread in a nutshell: the number of side-conversations, off-topic meanderings and "please find me a deal" posts make it very difficult to spot the offers. As a result, the usefulness of what was once a superb resource has declined markedly.

Perhaps we need two threads - one for details of genuine deals and closely-related discussion and another in which people can ask for help in finding a deal. And off-topic discussions should be mercilessly removed.

The fare from WAW starts at £1,476, and can be routed via HEL, LHR and JFK for £1,560. This would give 600 TPs - not the best £/TP ratio ever, but not bad if you need to go to ORD anyway.

Fare rules:

FROM EUROPE -
PERMITTED TUE/WED/THU ON EACH TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.
TO EUROPE -
PERMITTED MON/TUE/WED ON EACH TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.

INBOUND -
PERMITTED 21DEC 18 THROUGH 02JAN 19 OR 14APR 19 THROUGH
21APR 19 OR 01JUL 19 THROUGH 31AUG 19 FOR EACH
TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.
OUTBOUND -
PERMITTED 22DEC 18 THROUGH 06JAN 19 OR 14APR 19 THROUGH
22APR 19 OR 01JUL 19 THROUGH 31AUG 19 FOR EACH
TRANSATLANTIC SECTOR.

Completely agree. Needs to be split as suggested and the content moderated to keep the thread on track and relevant to all.

There's always an ex-EU to HKG with a CX Holiday booking to DPS. Should be able to get roughly the flight + hotels for a week (5*) for about £2-3k (for two) not including the flight to HK. Not necessarily cheapest options but decent one.

It’s a fair way out but decent prices on direct LHR-JFK for April next year in J. Out 1st Apr, back 6th is £1480. Similar prices to ORD & BOS
