Attached but have just remembered one detail I forgot to mention which is I'm searching for 2 Adults and 2 children so skyscanner averages out between 4..

That is a good spot thanks. Is the Qatar option worth the extra £270 though? Ive only flown Qatar in J a long time ago and things have moved on since then.

I would pay that difference for Qatar, over four sectors £270 is £67.50 a sector and I think for the seat - either the zodiac or the Q-suite - I like both, the much better food and the far better, flexible service it's worth the extra. SQ service has no flex in it whatever and follows the same pattern that it did twenty years ago.

On the pricing we see on Skyscanner above, I would choose Turkish in front of Singapore - less privacy but the seat is far more comfortable IMO and the food better too. Any of the longhaul SQ seats are IMO far too hard as a seat, fine as a flat bed but on many sectors I don't want to sleep for the whole flight and sitting gets uncomfortable.

Looks like Qatar sale will start on the 17th Jan according to Sale Fares Pricing ONLY and is the same time as other Jan sales.
I will wait until then I think and see what I can bag!

The link from the twitter page goes to a newsletter signup here - but does not say it is a sale, rather an announcement of "something new and exciting".

It looks like the OTP-PHX summer flights are even cheaper now in the sale. I see 1122 GBP in J for lots of dates in August.

Good spot! You're ahead of GF! Although once you click through the price drops to EUR1250

Hopefully the F fare will come back at GBP1500 as last year

Yes that's what I thought as well but looking back over the last couple of years that is the time they have their Jan Sales.

Can I please get your opinion on whether this is a good deal?
  • DUS to LHR to HKG with BA in Club World
  • HKG to DPS with Cathay in Business
  • DPS to HKG with Cathay in Business
  • HKG to LHR to DUS with BA in Club World/Europe

Comes in at around the £2000 including a €100 stopover fee for a few days in HKG. Sounds good to me and returns 660TP and >30.000 Avios!

Yes I see - has anyone found a TP-optimised itinerary? I am struggling without GF/ITA

Looks like there's a number of OW flights from OSL and ARN around those dates for just under £2k mark but I couldn't match the NOK 16,477 price above so that's indeed a good find! If you needed to hit the whole 850 TP in one go, you could do ATH-LHR-LAX-HNL-LAX-LHR-ATH and connecting flights LHR-ATH-LHR (in CE) for £2,729 (you'll find it attached if you scroll right down). It would give you 880TP and c. 51k Avios (if you're already Gold).
