Hello - BA Holidays have a CW sale to S Africa where with a car the flight is a good price.

What happens if I donít use the car? Can I be charged the extra

Thanks and Happy Christmas

In theory probably yes. In practice it seems not. Lots of people have failed to pick up the car and not had a problem.

I did it with Qatar last year, no issue at all.

Possible daft question, do you have to supply details of a valid driving licence to book flight plus car option?

no. Only on collecting the car. You can try it all the way to the payment page and then cancel if you want to be sure.

Booked on the JNB deal for July. UUA to F. Really a steal at the price offered. Managed to get A380 on the return, nil avail anywhere on the 787.

Will go to the AVIS desk and inform them car isnít needed, to be on the safe side.

I’ve booked too - decided worst case scenario is Park the car in long term parking.

We've booked to JNB and upgraded the car to one with more height so more suitable for game viewing. We are going at the start of February for just over three weeks and have just booked a week in KNP. Luckily there was quite a bit of availability in the rest camps to fit in with our dates. We'll be staying with friends for the rest of our trip.
