Unlikely. I am not sure where the idea has come from about there never being both lanes open at the weekend. I have been through many times at all hours of saturdays and sundays and seen both lanes open.

Both lanes were open with virtually no queue when I passed through this afternoon (albeit after conformance, but a call from the First Wing ticketing desk got me back on my flight).

Note to self: Don't get cocky when Heathrow Express is down for Christmas and the M25 is a car park as ever.
