Reduced Ops at LHR
Reduced flow rate at LHR tonight.
Currently being held in Milan on BA569. Excellent crew doing generous drinks rounds in J The Captain made a detailed announcement about the delay from the front of the plane and has invited anyone who wants to visit the cockpit to do so.
Least we are not trying to get to Gatters.

I'm on the tarmac at ARN. We should have left 2 hours ago. No drinks round here but loads of people are missing their connections. Crew are pretty upbeat.
Oh, we've just started to move. Time to turn off the phone...
Glad it's not Gatwick too, and also glad I live 20 mins from LHR.

To be honest what else can they offer, there is only the CE bars onboard and BoB leftover stock, you cannot start offering anything that you cannot offer everyone.

Ultimately, if you are badly delayed on LIN-LHR, if you are on AZ, you'll get brought hot and cold drinks and some boring biscuits/crackers, on BA you'll have to make do with water (bottled if you are lucky).
In the meantime, probably better to allow crew to share the contents of the BoB bar between passengers as a free offering. Plastic glasses, to divide the drinks and voila...

Great idea but do you have any idea of how little BoB stock is loaded, there would be up raw when we ran out after a couple os rows?
I do agree that we are no longer a full service airline but does BA still claim that they are?
