Wonderful flight with wonderful CSM

Had a really great flight on Sunday night from LGW to GVA

I know not the most remarkable routing but the service was top notch.
A319 (old BMI stock) 4 rows of CE with ET full
The CE cabin was served by the CSM who did it all single-handed, we were 9 pax plus a toddler.

Before take off the CSM came round with hot towels and addressed us all by name, no iPad visible, and in offering the hot towel said
" Welcome back Mr SB and thank you for your continued loyalty, would you like a hot towel"
"Yes please, thank you very much"
"Welcome back Mr SB+1... "

Not artificial or awkward...
The food service was great, with extra drinks offered.
The curtain was never closed, nothing was too much trouble.
Really relaxing, pleasurable.

And a complete contrast to the experience I had going to Heathrow on Friday, where the curtain was closed the whole time
The senior member of the cabin crew's only interaction with me was what would you like to eat, afternoon tea or ploughman's and then disappeared.
The other member of the crew working the CE cabin sat on the galley seat the whole time, after the meal service, reading her magazine.
No interaction no offers of extra drinks nothing.

I must say the food is so much better now it is Do&Co. Scones in the afternoon tea - bliss

Anyway, I was so impressed by the little things from Sunday evening that I gave the CSM a golden ticket.
She was really surprised and quite taken aback, but it was merited, it was a pleasure to be on the flight from beginning to end.

It is often the little things that matter and those that don't bother lose out. At the risk of being OT, I was that rare thing called a chalet girl for 3 seasons. I knew the importance of good customer service. As I result I did really well in tips (best tip-earner for all 3 seasons) but the other chalet girls not so. if there was the chance of earning tips - would CC work harder for them???
