Flight still under TA control after first segment
I’ve a LHR > JFK return booked by my corporate travel agent. I’ve flown the outbound leg, and for some reason it is still under TA control for changes?
Any reason for this? I did a AUP for the outbound at LHR, but I’ve done this before and usually once I’ve landed in JFK it’s under BA’s control (I.e. I can get upgrade pricing, upgrade offers etc).

I've made changes to a similar booking before (only a few weeks ago), after flying the first sector. Ticket issued by TA, but changes made by BA agent at T5 (with associated change fees etc) for the rest of the itinerary.
Who is telling you it is under TA control? I find the airport agents tend to be best at this type of thing, although I'm not sure I remember dealing with this situation via BA call centre.
