AUH check in time

Hello,
And sorry in advance if the question has already been asked, I've been looking for it but couldn't find an answer.
We will be flying on BA72 leaving AUH at 2:05am with my (8 month pregnant) wife and 2 years old. So would like a bit of rest before the flight and thought the airside Aerotel was the perfect solution.
The question is how long before the flight can you check the luggage and go through security?
No point going to the airport at 6pm to wait for hours before the desks open...
Thanks for all helpful answers!

Check in normally opens 2 hours before at outstations, but AUH might be different. Others might be able to help you with this.

I assume you are aware of the rules of flying during pregnancy? If not, for BA they can be found here: https://www.britishairways.com/en-us...-and-pregnancy

2 hours is the shorthaul opening time. For longhaul flights it is normally 3.

If you are planning on getting to the airport very early, I would recommend booking a room at the AUH premier inn. Often very well priced and you can wake up at 0000 (or later) and then make the walk to the airport check in (the walk is around 5-6 min and inside). We have done this and it has worked well. The airside hotel is much more expensive.

Sorry to hijack but in AUH at the moment coming back in about 10 days time

So there is no point in getting to the airport before 11pm, I'd usually get to the airport a bit before that as it's easier to sit in the airport lounge as hotel lobby and my check out at the hotel is 8pm. However if I'm going to be hanging around airside then I will delay.

Thanks for all these answers!
So apparently the airside hotel is not option for us.
Will look at the Premier Inn.
No other hotel closer to the check in area?
Thanks!
