Unfortunately that is indeed what my friend was told. She is also going to finish the year on 4,800ish and we are both religiously opposed to take flights we do not need/want to take just to get avios/TPs/status (aka Mileage Runs). I told her she should call the GGL line asking for the two weeks grace period but was indeed surprised to hear they were told that nothing can do when it comes to reaching 5,000 TPs and getting our CCR card. For what it's worth, I personally find it a shame...

Not that I ever will be but if I were to end up with 4800 I'd go out of my way on a mini TP run as the benefits of using the CCR for a whole year would, in my humble opinion, far outweigh not doing it. Likewise if I were at 2300, 3300 but as always on FT.............. YMMV!

It sounds like you also need to surrender your FT membership card then, to be honest. What a thing to admit!

As off today I have 4315 but I will earn 580 between now and Dec 8. I just cannot find the time to get the extra 105. I got a windfall of TPs from a CX claim that got rejected three times. Had I known it would come through i would probably have done a TP run over Thanksgiving.

I am ashamed of myself...

A CE return trip to Spain via MAD should do it.

He's clearly rumbled us....yes I'm not really silver....I have been GGL and CCR for years.

What a laugh we have over the turbot and LPGS in the CCR with our friends on here.

Until one of the members walks in of course....since he is actually Alex Cruz.

Now look what you've done....I'll be shot at dawn....or later should there be fog.

Miaow!

As I was originally a HNL Gold instead of one of those gilded ones who fly on the Company money, I robustly defend HIDDY's right to not fly BA, or indeed anyone. The cows may have gone, but he still has dogs and a wife to look after ... and the odd chicken and guinea pig. So there!

I’m sure there’s a specialist website somewhere in cyberspace for that

True, then again I do have plenty years of experience flying BA....and can assure you, today you get far more for your £1 spent with them than you did back in the 'good old days'.
