Alas it was a 'dusty bin' when I looked. I've just taken 1L which appears to be a bulkhead single seat.

Ugh. Lost my UD seat in all of this.

Now in 63A. Not a huge hardship, but not my favourite.

1h45 in JFK and 1h in CLT.
I think that is what I was given - I think I could have just stuck with it for the JFK-CLT-MCO irrespective of MCT, but I had to change the booking as I had been bumped into economy on the way back from MIA-JFK. Once into re-booking, it wouldn't re-issue the outbound as it was less than MCT at JFK. She was mentioning the time required for clearing immigration and customs at JFK and understood what I said about pre-clearance, but as KARFA said above, there is no allowance for BA1, and there was no way to override it apparently. It doesn't look like there is a later flight to MIA after that one at 1850 vic CLT, but having accepted a nightstop at JFK I have now seen the hotel prices!

Any tricks/tips/limitations to getting AA to rebook the routing you want? Going to give them a call to do JFK-DCA, then DCA-CLT-MCO-MIA so overnighting in DCA (cheaper) instead. I class available on all legs also

I'm sitting tight on the amended itinerary which seems to be ticketed despite MCT. The big wildcard is BA1 itself and if this gets cancelled there are a lot more options.

I'll book something like The Jane in Greenwich for £95 and pay $60 for the cab. The next morning my flight isn't until 11am so I'll brave the subway for a few $ with a stinking hangover.

To add to this trip, I was reminded having looked, that AA1479 06:35 MCO - MIA is a 737 Max 8...

Made use of the sale on at the moment and booked positioning flights, staying overnight in Stockholm both times.

BA780 out, 13:20 ex LHR on 31st July, looking to be staying in the Jumbo
BA779 back, 15:15 ex ARN on 6th August, booked as a BA 'holiday'.

I'm currently sitting on bookings for both suites in the Jumbo Hotel on the 31st, but will release the blackbox suite in a synchronised way if anyone wants it - it comes back into inventory on the booking sites in a couple of hours after cancellation. Just message me if needed. If no-one does by the end of the week I'm cancelling it anyway having now scored the cockpit suite.

My routing to Sweden is JER->LGW 30th July (this will end up B2B) LHR->ARN on the 8pm flight 31st July, ARN->LHR on the 5th, 1820. This was £301 in J at BA, but travelup has it for £276 so that should get £50 back. It also should qualify for a reasonable return on the double avios thing.

Just releasing the black box suite now.

Haven't decided yet but I'll either book the Clarion and come in late on the 31st, or I'll do an early flight and have a mooch around the city as it has been years since I've been.

£50 Price Promise voucher duly arrived for the positioning. I'll likely use that for buying the positioning to Jersey. LOVE price promise.

Does anyone have experience of the Best Western Hotelby? It was the only ARN hotel available when I booked through BA Holidays? Same question for the Hilton Miami Airport and the Hilton Garden In at Hatton Cross? I’m too chicken for a B2B and can’t save for toffee so the BA Hols deposit option suits me down to the ground.

For reference this is for a ten day road trip out of Chicago, routing / ticketing as follows:

T1: EDI-LHR-ARN (overnight)
T2: ARN-HEL-LHR (overnight) -JFK-MIA (overnight)
T3: MIA-ORD (roadtrip) ORD-MIA (overnight)
T2: MIA-DFW-ORD-LHR-ARN
T1: ARN-LHR-EDI

All in Business for 800TP and flat beds except CE and the DFW-ORD.

Just a heads up folks, got notification of a time change on my DFW-ORD segment, nothing major and still within MCT (was 7M8 to 738 frame change too).

However on checking my my other flights in the booking all of my flights through MIA have had a change of frame. My MIA-ORD flights are now A321 vice 763 and my JFK-MIA and MIA-DFW are now 772 vice 763/752.

No biggie but maybe worth checking your seat allocations.

Out of curiosity I've just checked mine, although no notification of a change from American.

Slightly earlier flight from JFK to CLT (AA2246 instead of AA2580) and a swap from B737-8 to A319, same flight from CLT to MCO.

MCO to MIA is now 12 minutes earlier, same flight number, and now a 737-8 instead of a Max 8. *phew*

MIA to JFK is now almost two hours later (now AA291) but still a 767 - a lie in through schedule changes, so not complaining!
