B747 Layout
Can anyone help with the B747 Type currently allocated for BA295 LHR-ORD on 27 Jan 19. I am interested to know if it will have the upgraded IFE. Many thanks for any assistance

Expert flyer shows Hi J 86 seat CW which means new Panasonic IFE

Of course subject to change

Some of the midJ 747 have been upgraded with the newer IFE system, and all Super high J aircraft have it.

Many thanks for that. I will keep fingers crossed that there isnt a late change to an unmodernised version. I would be quite happy if they changed it to an A380 though as we will be in F (UuA) and, as we have flown once before in F on the 747, I would be interested to experience the difference

I think the Panasonic IFE on the Super Hi J 747s is the best IFE across the whole BA fleet, and better than then IFE on the A380.

Agreed, I had it on a refurbed mid-J last week and and was amazed at how efficiently I could select a movie and skip the ads.
