BA lounge in MUC closed?

Apparently a new lounge called Airport Lounge World opened in terminal 1, module B, Monday this week, and BA is listed as participating airline.

And when I check the OneWorld lounge finder the BA lounge is gone.

Is this a permanent closure? Anyone knows?

It couldn't possibly be any worse than the BA lounge.

I was in MUC a couple of weeks ago - old BA lounge still going and no signs announcing any future change...

But if there is a change of lounge, it might actually be an upgrade - the MUC BA lounge is pretty tired now.

Perhaps a temporary closure whilst the refresh the existing BA lounge for the new Galleries concept (like Rome?)

Oh, that‘s new. I visited this lounge on the day of opening (flying with QR) and back then BA was not yet listed.

The new lounge is not bad by the way, quite an improvement over the BA Lounge in most aspects.

Definitely looks better than the BA lounge. Only been there once, and thought it was one of the worst lounges I've been in. Where is the new one located? Is it near the BA lounge? I'm usually flying American from/to Philadelphia and they seem to go out of the bus gate at A24 or so, rather than BA (Which I have flow into MUC on).

’pretty tired’ is far too generous a description; I’ve seen sofas in better condition at my local charity shop!

After you go through security at T1B you turn left where you immediatly see the stairs and elevator to the lounge. Stairs and elevator really aren‘t ten metres from the left side of security.

Well that's a huge upgrade. Not just the interior, but the food looks like a much better spread. It always amazed me that the BA lounge in Munich did not have pretzels.

That looks a million times better than the BA MUC lounge. The BA one is OK if one disregards the furniture. There are abandoned sofas outside council estates in my old childhood stomping grounds of South London that are in better condition than those in the MUC lounge.

I hate travelling through Terminal 1. Passport control is a nightmare to get through and priority security is very poor. Not sure if it's a ploy to get people to switch to LH.
