Napkin buttonhole

On my infrequent BA flights over the last 18 months or so I've noticed that BA no longer have a button hole in their napkins. I've always appreciated the facility to attach my napkin to my shirt button. It can't be a cost saving desicion so why stop?
Flew Ethiopian last week and they still have the button hole in their napkins.
What gives or is this really an irrelevant observation?

If they’ve enhanced the buttonhole I really will never fly BA again.

Clearly showing my class here (both social and travel) but I never knew that buttonholes in napkins were a thing!

QR have them... the buttonholes.
I also didn't realise napkin buttonholes was a thing, but found it surprisingly useful.

As tacky as those round non-drip discs for wine bottles...

May I suggest a new ‘game’ (inspired by @antichef) where those handy with a needle and thread could make buttonholes in any BA napkins without them and chainstitch their FT name alongside.

But I think the needles and scissors would be confiscated at security.....

Must have sold them onto AA - they have them (in PE too) - and they even have a label on saying 'Property of American Airlines'. Clearly a valuable item!

Not many passengers have a button to put it on.

I have had a pair of these for years. We love them for eating in the car, on the plane and anywhere it is likely we will spill something on our shirt!

Who sits on a longhaul flight wearing a shirt? I'll always change into a pair of comfortable sports pants and a tshirt.

In fact, there was one gentleman who was wearing a shirt on my PEK-ZRH LX flight on Sunday who looked particularly uncomfortable in his dress shirt, squirming around trying to get comfortable. No idea why people (especially the "business" types like to sleep overnight in a shirt - very odd if you ask me.

+1. On two BA CE flights during the past two weeks I have found myself rotating the napkin through 360 degrees while examining all four corners in the hunt for that elusive napkin button hole. It’s a far easier way to secure a napkin in place than tucking it into your shirt, where it invariably falls out after a couple of minutes - just as I drop some red wine or food on myself.
