Indeed. Dubai is not exactly the village pub.

Am sure all the travel bloggers will still write about the new seat even if they are away or haven't been invited to its unveiling (whenever it is)

I know that Alex (and BA at large) can do no right, but perhaps it could be called "learning from one's mistakes"?

It's clearly a long learning process, and some of us are tired of waiting for Graduation Day!

Raffles, I applaud your perspective as always.

And thank you for altering my perspective away from Y, for good, through HfP

He mentioned that they don't want to go out with a big hoo-hah since, as he said, "it'll be years before it's fully rolled out" and they don't want to create false expectations; which seems fair to me; there's no point in saying "Here's the new seat!" at cubital characters and then, font size 5 in light grey in the bottom right-hand corner, "Only on one 350 and one 777 on this route on Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning and, if we feel like it, Saturday".

He said the seat and a plane attached to it will be out in the summer of next year, but as for showcasing it out it's going to be, perhaps, Easter. He was very non-committal, however. So who knows.

This is all my opinion and recollection of events, not BA's.
Just hope he remembers this on all the web marketing when the first plane with the new seat rolls into service.

hahaha, good point ignorance is is bliss however... and after that first taste....

I’m slowly trying to ween myself back into Y as above is sadly no longer an option with 2 kids in tow. First Y long haul in about 7 years coming up soon, quite looking forward to it a perverse way!
