BA cabin crew and flatulence
A rarity for me to be in CW aisle seats (747, upper deck J), but I've had back-to-back farts in my face on two connecting flights from cabin crew leaning over to get to the A seats.
Has something changed in the crew meals? I didn't say anything. Mind you, neither did they.
Honi soit qui mal y pense etc...

Hi newyorklondon ..... do you perhaps have high-level BAEC status ?
I ask because there has been a fair bit of feedback recently to BA, that their CC tend not to give the same recognition to elites as do the crews of other OW carriers ; I suspect that what you experienced is the new enhanced form of onboard personal greeting.

Well, I think you've hit the nail on the head. I didn't want to make too much of a fuss, but I am actually in a new BAEC category called Methane Plus, and - upon reading my welcome packet more carefully - I do see that a fart in the face (which BA - and I guess this is corporate speak aimed at those in my status - calls "a personalized welcome gift") is mentioned.
Thank you for clarifying!

Indeed. As I said, Honi soit qui mal y pense! My French is not what it used to be, but I believe this roughly translates as "whoever smelled it, dealt it."
