Lobster thermidor First LHR LAX
Hey guys, i looked for a thread but I could not find some infos about other people opinion on BA's Lobster thermidor in First. I travel quite a bit in First on BA but i never saw yet Lobster on the menu, today when I went to select my meal for an upcoming trip, they had Lobster as an option. Have anybody tried it, is it worth it or I should stick with the beef?
Is Ba269 LHR LAX on 11 th November A380.
If anybody have any pictures, don't be shy on posting them

Knowing how difficult it is to get a steak cooked anything less than "grey", I'd worry about the lobster being overcooked (even tho, instinctively, it would be the dish I'd want to choose from that menu!).

Steaks on a plane...
Back on topic, I'd opt for the beef, I don't find Lobster very filling!

Proper first class food!
I expect we'll have a load of reviews when it rolls out. Hopefully with a nice gruyere crust might get me to upgrade to the CCR from Galleries meandering.....got to be full of proper bubbles PETER01 before you try the lobster.

I have a F flight next year so if it's still on the menu then I might indeed try it!

I was a bit surprised when I saw that BA is serving something that is supposed to be premium. I choiced the lobster in the end. I am going to report in about 30 days how it was

Am inclined to agree with Lucanesque above that there is a high risk of lobster being overcooked .... and then it becomes rather rubbery in taste. I think it’s perhaps one of those foodstuffs which simply isn’t suited to airline catering.
Malaysian have offered lobster in their F cabin for quite a while. I booked it last year in advance via their ‘Chef on Call’ facility, but in truth it was rather disappointing when it reached my table. Very nicely presented, for sure ..... but not as yummy as I had been hoping. Hopefully BA’s equivalent will be better.
