No, but the newest Airbus A320 and A321 have been delivered without middle tables and screens. So that is the future.

BA794 LHR1450 - HEL1845 6
BA799 HEL1935 - LHR2020 6

Utterly crappy timings IMHO.
really bad, only one morning flight out of Helsinki and five flights after 2 pm (AY and BA combined).

I wonder what the reasoning is behind this because the BA flights are never empty, in Y anyway. I know its not a route like CDG or GVA but this almost leaves Finnair with the monopoly on HEL-LHR flights. Do they share revenue like on the TATL flights?

Both on TATL and Europe-Japan (Trans-Siberian join venture AY/BA/IB/JL) flights.

If you call them they will change it to any AY flight. I had the same cancellation applied to one of my flights this week and called to change it to AY for LHR-HEL.

I got them to change it to the following Saturday BA flight, and to be frank the timing is much better! However there was a sticky moment when the agent said 'I'll just work out the charge for the change' and I replied icily 'there will be no charge since BA cancelled my original flight'. It took her three or four minutes' conversation with her manager before that was agreed...

I’m surprised at the Murcia suspension, I would have thought this would have been profitable for BA. Maybe we will see it return from LGW like with Kos.

But if capacity is reduced, won't fares rise?

Nice to see BA expanding it's LCA operations, even if this new flight is quite badly timed. I suppose this increase will also cover the seats lost by changing BA662 from a 767 to an A320.

The numbers on the outbound BA664 are the wrong way round. It should be arriving in Larnaca at 13:50, rather than 15:30 :P

Angry What's with the HEL-LHR route?

Helsinki (HEL) - decreased frequency from 14 flights to 7 flights per week between 31 March to 26 October 2019
Why an earth would they cut this many seats between HEL and LHR? Are they predicting that AY's new (and increased) direct flights to LAX, SFO, and ORD will mean drastically fewer connecting passengers at LHR?

The remaining BA flight pair is pretty much useless to my travel patterns. But I guess it saves BA a nice amount of hotel costs to cxl the overnight stop.

All BA’s LHR shorthaul flights for next summer are currently showing as being operated by a A320 aircraft. Exact aircraft type for each flight will be updated over the next few weeks. So there is still a chance that 1 or more of the rotations to LCA will be operated by a A321.
